cgit is a web interface to Git repositories, implmented with cgi script in C. It is very lightweight and is heavily used by a lot of open-source projects such as archlinux, GNOME, Linux kernel.
I recently starting experimenting with dockers, and so I thought why not dockerize cgit for fun. And so I started keeping in my mind setup at my server. I pick Debian:latest image and installed Nginx and all other required packages. And then I thought why not create an image with Apache server and so I did. Then I though well Alpine:latest is significantly smalled then Debian image and so it will make a much smaller container. So, I made one with Alpine and Nginx.
